The T160 was the 1975 revision of the Trident with electric start, a left-foot gear change and a rear disc brake, partly to meet US rules. Its 3-into-4-into-2 exhaust and updated styling gave it smooth, strong power and confident handling, though it was pricey and thirsty. It could not stop Triumph's decline.
