Vespa is the scooter brand of Piaggio, an Italian company based in Pontedera. The first Vespa, the 98, appeared in 1946 and its steel monocoque body, designed by Corradino D'Ascanio, defined the scooter for decades. The name means wasp in Italian. This list runs from those early models through the Sprint, Rally, P-series and PX classics to the modern LX, GTS, GTV, Primavera and Sprint ranges and the electric Elettrica.
