A racing version of the 98 built in 1947 to prove a small scooter could compete. It had a tuned engine with a sport carburettor and megaphone exhaust, a smaller screen and bars, a seat set further back and a strengthened front end. Piaggio dealers entered it in circuit and hill-climb events, winning scooter classes including the 1947 Naples Grand Prix.
