Yamaha's reed-valve, air-cooled 175 cc two-stroke trail bike, a mainstay of the 1970s enduro line that grew out of the earlier CT series. The 1974 renaming brought reed-valve induction, a new tank, a 21-inch front wheel and Thermoflow shocks. It was a light, forgiving machine for fire roads and dirt tracks rather than serious competition.
