The FJ1200 was the 1986 enlargement of the FJ1100, with the engine bored out to 1188 cc, revised suspension and a stronger midrange. It kept the air/oil-cooled four and steel frame, and was marketed as a fast but relaxed sports tourer rivalling the BMW K100RS and Suzuki Katana 1100.
