The FZR400 Genesis brought the aluminium Deltabox frame and full race-replica fairing to the 400 class. Its high-revving four was weak below about 5000 rpm, but the light chassis made it easy and rewarding to ride. It was overshadowed by Honda's CBR400s yet became a popular base for racing and track-day bikes.
