A sport-tourer that replaced the conventional fork with a single-sided front swingarm and separate steering, so suspension and steering duties were split. The FZR1000-derived five-valve four was fuel-injected and softened to about 100 hp. It handled stably and braked well but was heavy, thirsty and expensive, and sold poorly. This is the launch-period version.
