The R25 concept previewed Yamaha's 250 cc sports bike with a newly developed inline-twin engine in a light, slim chassis. Its styling borrowed from the YZR-M1 MotoGP bike. It was pitched as an everyday superbike, entry-level in developed markets and a top-performance sports model in emerging Asian markets, and led to the production YZF-R25 in 2014.
