The 2017-18 WR450F uses a rearward-slanted, four-valve engine with a front-facing intake, derived from the YZ450F, in a compact aluminium frame. For this update Yamaha added a new ECU with revised maps, adjusted suspension settings, new graphics and blue rims, and dropped the kick starter.
