The 1990-93 XJ900F is the last form of the original shaft-drive XJ900, with a 891 cc air-cooled four and frame-mounted fairing. Contemporary road tests praised its reliability, comfort and touring practicality while criticising a heavy clutch and rough gearchange. It was replaced by the XJ900S Diversion in 1994.
