The XS-V1 Sakura was a retro-styled prototype built around a new air-cooled 1000 cc V-twin. It was designed to recall the first Yamaha four-stroke, the 1970 XS-1 650. The oddly shaped headlight, slim dash and stylised discs were the parts least likely to reach production.
