The XV920R was the US-market version of the European TR1, using a 920 cc air-cooled V-twin in a pressed-steel spine frame with chain final drive. It had a smooth, broad torque spread and air-adjustable suspension, but a firm seat and some vibration drew criticism. It was offered in red only.
