The original Venture of 1983 launched Yamaha's big V4 touring line, using a 1198 cc liquid-cooled engine with shaft drive and air-assisted suspension. It was built for long-distance comfort with a sizeable fairing and was nicknamed Venture Royale in the US. Sold as XVZ 1200 TK in some markets.
