From 1986 the Venture grew to a 1294 cc V4 with a bit more displacement and a smoother, lower-revving character than the 1200. It stayed a shaft-driven, fully faired tourer with air-assisted suspension and ran for roughly seven years with few changes. Known as Venture Royale in the US.
