The Vision was Yamaha's sport-tourer with a narrow 552 cc liquid-cooled V-twin, shaft drive and rear monoshock. Reviewers compared its feel to a BMW, but a high price and unusual styling limited sales. The 1983 US version fixed early carburation, soft fork and weak brake complaints, and the model later gained a cult following.
