The YDS-2 was Yamaha's second-generation 250 cc sports twin, carrying on the air-cooled, piston-port two-stroke twin layout and five-speed gearbox that made the YDS line popular. It was a lightweight, quick road bike for its day and the step between the original YDS-1 and the later YDS-3.
